Samui Elephant Sanctuary

Enjoy the company of an elephant in Samui at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Trained English-speaking guides will give you insight into the behavior and the personal history of the resident elephants, while mahouts help people realize incredible life experiences such as bathing elephants and feeding them by hand.

When you arrive at the Sanctuary, the guides will give you a basic overview of the tour, their elephant welfare programs, some information about the elephants and then traditional Karon clothes to wear during the tour.

You can also bring a camera with you but if you’re worried about taking photos with the elephants you need not worry. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers a photography service at no extra charge.

KOH SAMUI ELEPHANT SANCTUARY

Throughout your visit at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, you will be feeding and interacting with the elephants. It is important to the sanctuary that you learn as much as possible about the elephants and why it is important to protect them.

All proceeds raised from visits and donations, are contributed to elephant welfare. Samui Elephant Sanctuary rescue Elephants, feed them, provide veterinary care as well as land and infrastructure for them to live on.

This half-day tour takes place twice a day, in the mornings and in the afternoons. Samui Elephant Sanctuary is a fun and educational experience for the whole family.

Free admission for children under 10yrs of age with accompanying adults.

Note; Bring swimming clothes if you wish to bathe the Elephants.

Overview

Enjoy a welcome snack, sip tea or coffee, and learn about elephants as you are given an introduction to the sanctuary program.
Change into traditional Karen clothing and assist with the preparation of natural dietary supplements for elephants.
Meet the elephants. Learn their stories.
See Elephants and their lifestyle in their natural surroundings.
Eat lunch or dinner of traditional Thai food, freshly cooked Pad Thai, and seasonal fruit, before saying goodbye to the friendly elephants.

Departure & Return

An air-conditioned vehicle will pick you up from your hotel or specified accommodation, you will be provided with an exact pick-up time confirmation once your reservation is received. If you’re staying at private accommodation please provide a contact number for the property you are staying at as soon as possible. Alternatively, allow the tour operator to speak to one of the staff members who work at the property. Please note that an address is insufficient to locate a property on Koh Samui.

An air-conditioned vehicle will drop you back to the hotel or accommodation you were collected from. All other participants of the tour will be dropped off along the way until the entire tour group has completely reached their accommodations.
